Success spelled out with scrabble tiles

The Pulaski County School District is celebrating its remarkable performance with the recent release of state testing results. Superintendent Patrick Richardson noted, “All of our schools are among the highest-scoring in the state. Our whole community has so much to be proud of. Our students are learning well, working hard, and putting forth greater effort in their studies and on these important tests that tell us all how we’re doing as a school system. We have considerable support from parents and families, which makes a big difference. And I am especially grateful for our teachers and staff, who are dedicated to instructing, leading, and motivating our students, and who are too often underappreciated in our current political and social climate. Our teachers and staff are among the best in Kentucky.”

The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) was administered in May, and scores for every public school in the state are now available to the public. Here’s how Pulaski County Schools stacked up against other districts:

--Elementary Schools: Top 6% – Ranked #11 of 182 districts

--Middle Schools: Top 13% – Ranked #23 of 182 districts

--High Schools: Top 12% – Ranked #22 of 178 districts

Many of our families have received notification from USAC that EBB benefits have expired and that you need to reapply.  This is the program that provided families with discounts on home Internet service and the option to buy devices at discounted prices.  If you have received this letter and need to reapply, click HERE for a step-by-step guide on completing the online application.  If you need a district letter confirming your child's eligibility under the CEP program, please contact your school to request this letter.

Stuff the Bus flier

Pulaski County Schools are partnering with Kentucky Educational Development Corporation and other Eastern Kentucky School districts in a toy and supply drive for the Kentuckians in Western Kentucky that were affected by the storms over the weekend.  It is called "Stuff the Bus".  Donations of toys and supplies may be dropped at any Pulaski County School or the Pulaski County Central Office.  These toys and supplies will be caravaned over on Monday December 20.  If you have any questions please feel free to email patrick.richardson@pulaski.kyschools.us or call 606-679-1123.
